How the dvMail Targeted Email and SMS Database Marketing Process Works
Groundwork
Our first conversations will focus on determining which of our services or combination of services will best help you achieve your objectives.
Creating a customized database
We will use your targeting specifications to identify which individuals in our database are matches. Be as specific as you want. We have hundreds of demographic, geographic and lifestyle/interest targeting criteria to locate your very best prospects.
The Estimate
We will provide an estimate for all costs, specifying our deliverables.
No work will be done without a signed estimate. An invoice will be immediately issued. Campaigns over $20,000 require 50% payment prior to the first broadcast.
Creative
You can provide finished creative if you would like. We will give you our specifications. If you have a finished video, we can accept most digital formats including mp4, mpg, mov and wmv. We can also write and produce your video for you.
If you would like us to do the creative, we will create a template based on your website design and submit a pdf to you for your approval.
With your approval we will then code your dvMail, and test it.
Testing
Testing consists of two parts:
Functionality Testing – making sure all links work and all urls are going to the correct destination.
Spam Testing – spam filters are increasingly more sophisticated – so do the measures you take to enable your message to get into your target’s in-box. In developing your template, dvMail performs best practices for verbiage, test/image balance and font usage. We then perform 13 different spam tests. If your ad does not achieve a passing score, we will consult with you about revisions that will be required to achieve desired deliverability.
Revisions to ads you create will be billed at a rate of $90/hour, estimates will be provided.
Approvals
Typically corporate server security settings will not allow a dvMail to be delivered to your business address, therefore we request that you give us personal addresses for the approval broadcast. We can also give you our server IP address for your IT staff to white list.
The First Broadcast
We recommend broadcasting Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Monday and Friday are the days with the heaviest email traffic. While we can broadcast Saturday, Saturday response rates are historically lower.
Tracking
Four to five days following the completion of your broadcast we will give you a report of recorded opens and url clicks.
Insights™ Premium Tracking
A detailed post-broadcast analysis identifying your targeting "sweet spot." We can pull data of those who clicked on your urls and determine what targeting qualities they have in common.
